  O património é algo frágil, há por isso que preservá-lo. Um método de preservação é a Inventariação e Catalogação, que consistem em criar um extenso documento, que fornece variadas informações, estas devem ser perseguidas de forma exaustiva, e atualizadas quando necessário. O Património Digital, é todo e qualquer objeto digital de valor patrimonial, que tenha sido digitalizado ou tenha origem digital e, como todos os outros, também necessita de ser preservado, e consequentemente também precisa de ser inventariado e catalogado, a Canadian Heritage Information Network fornece-nos uma ótima template para isto.

• Abstract:
  Heritage is fragile, that’s why we have to preserve it, a way of doing so is through Inventory and Cataloguing, this means creating an extensive document that provides a variety of information, these must be pursued to exhaustion, and updated when necessary. We identify as Digital Heritage, every digital object with heritage value, regardless of it being digitized or of digital origin, and as every other type of heritage, it needs to be preserved, and as such, it needs to be inventoried and catalogued, the Canadian Heritage Information Network gives us a great template for this.
